Hi Will,

Echo cancellation is a tough issue.

There is no built in "native" support for echo cancellation in any of the signal paths of the VOIP media engine.

The one time we had to use echo cancellation, was because we interfaced a USB analog phone adapter to a multi line soft phone. We used the standard IVR API interfaces and some other undocumented APIs that allowed us to get at select points of the streaming audio.

At any rate, we inplemented a typical normalized least mean squared phone line echo cancellation filter that worked well to get rid of hybird echo in the USB analog adapter.

Post more info if you have well developed specific requirements.
