I received a full license back towards the beginning of this month which I installed as specified but when I attempt to use the microcode file that it produced, the sample applications do not recognize it as a valid license. If I switched back to the trial license, it works fine. Note that I do rebuild the application between each attempt.

I believe that bitherder (with whom I work on this project) had problems and you sent him a list of things to do for the installation. I believe I followed them exactly as specified but it still does not function.

Unfortunately, it appears that my trial license has expired so I am now dead in the water. I was using that for initial testing due to scheduling issues with a demo.

Thanks

Hi Mac,

Hmmm…. Sounds fishy.

You cannot use a normal license with a trial product install. If you have a trial product installed on your development box, save whatever work you have (modified software samples, etc) and uninstall the trial image. Make sure the default install product directory is also manually deleted. It won’t be if you created any new files there. The default install location is:

C:\Program Files\LanScape VOIP Media Engine

Install your new (non trial) product image and you should be good to go. Just make sure you use the LanScapeVME.C license file that came with your distribution.

I wish we could do away with software license protection. Maybe sometime in the future. For now though, if we don’t enforce licensing, people just steal the product. If Skip is up and running, then there is a simple step we must be missing.

Repost if this info does not help.

Thanks. It's possible that I didn't remove the original directory the first time. It appears to work fine now.

Boy, I haven't been called Mac since I was in the Air Force about 40 years ago. Brings back memories :)

Brilliant! Glad it worked.
