Hi, thanks to your reply,
so the questions pop up :
1.How much is the “Pre-Release” copy of LanScape’s DTMF library and tuning tools?
2. How is the existing DTMF library bound with the singline phone, is it possible to by pass the constraint technically in the code for a shor amount of time in order to just show it works with the multiline phone?
regards,
will

Hello Will,
Item 1:
How much is the “Pre-Release” copy of LanScape’s DTMF library and tuning tools?
I am not sure, We have your contact information and will have one of our technical sales people email you additional info. Please be patient as we obtain this information for you.
Item 2:
DTMF library - is it possible to by pass the constraint technically?
We are sorry :( We cannot disable this capability. Those static libraries will only work with the previously mentioned example software applications.
One of our technical sales people will get you the additional info you seek.
Thanks,
Support

Hi Will,
Your original request was forwarded to the proper individuals here at LanScape. Our CTO decided to respond to your original request. His response is shown below. If you have further questions, just repost back to this forum.
Thank you,
LanScape Support Staff.
---------------------------------------------------------
Customer: Vocalscape Networks.
Subj: Pre-release product acquisition, DTMF generation/decoder support.
Dear Will,
Thank you for doing business with LanScape Corporation. My support group notified me that your company inquired about LanScape's DTMF generation/decoder library support for Microsoft operating systems.
Technically, the LanScape DTMF VOIP library and tuning tools can be used but we have not completed the official release of this product or established the final licensing and pricing model.
Brief Technical Specifications:
Complete DTMF generation and decoding for VOIP applications.
8 kHz PCM and uLaw data interface.
AGC applied to all input source data.
Volume ramping of generated DTMF during ON/OFF and OFF/ON transitions.
Supplied as digitally signed static library (licensed on a per application basis).
Belcore compliant DTMF generation/decoding (Belcore tuning data not available until final product release)
Very fast DTMF detection convergence.
DTMF detection using as little as 20 Ms of input signal.
Fully supported on all 32-bit Microsoft Windows platforms.
Employs state of the art Goertzel/LanScape proprietary DTMF detection algorithms.
Easy of use: Just connect the “plumbing” and go.
Fully compatible with LanScape VOIP Media engine.
Option: DTMF decoder can be custom tuned to end user's requirements using supplied tuning application.
It appears we have these options:
1) You search the internet for other vendors that can supply this capability to you. Whatever you select, make sure it employs more than a simple FFT/DTF approach to DTMF decoding.
2) You wait until we officially release this product. The release date TDB.
3) Vocalscape contracts with LanScape to deliver the DTMF generation/decoder support prior to LanScape official release date. LanScape to supply Vocalscape with DTMF library binary images that will allow direct replacement of current software example DTMF library. Final terms of contract TBD.
Let us know what you are comfortable with.
Regards,
Randal Ziegler
