Subject: Distributing managed code VOIP Applications.
If you are developing a managed code VOIP application using the VOIP Media Engine Release 6 product, don’t forget that you will have to also install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) libraries on the target computer!
If you run your managed VOIP application on target machines and you receive “file load” exceptions or similar “file not found” exceptions, you will most likely need to install the above Microsoft libraries.
You do not have to install this redistribution library support if Visual Studio 2008 SP1 is installed on the target machine.
At the time of this post, the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) was located here at the Microsoft site:
