Hi Hermes,
Thanks for your post.
Unfortunately we can’t set a hard date for when the native API of the media engine will support sending SIP INFO messages directly. We know this answer sucks. The integrated SIP INFO functionality is in the list of development items that will be added to the media engine. Its just unfortunate that other functionality has higher priority. The only way to get around this is by having a development contract or support agreement with us. Email the support group to get the current support details.
Just so you and others are aware, we are working to complete the v6 media engine release. We are spending lots of time performing testing of new functionality and changes. We have stopped single core testing and now develop/test/QA the media engine using nothing but quad core or higher multiprocessor machines.
Also, we are improving the ability to better scale when deployed on multiprocessor and multi-core host machines. This will definitely allow users to get the most out of their VOIP deployments when using the VOIP Media Engine.
Your request to fully integrate SIP INFO support at the API level is great. Feel free to add to this post with any and all your ideas on how you might want to use this new functionality via the media engine API. Event though we can’t specify a hard date for what you want, rest assured it has made the “development to-do” list and will eventually appear in the product.
