Far End Hold On state is not returned by GetLineStatus function. Currently the samples use a local Flag that is set when SipFarEndHoldOn event is received.

I think you can return this state in GetLineStatus.

Thanks

Hi Jalal,

Yes, the current behavior is by design. We should be able to add this simple change to the next release. If anything, the change will give the API additional symmetry.

Hi,

Is it possible to use GetActiveCallInfo to get FarEndHoldOn state in current version?

If so, then you can ignore the first request for adding this option to GetLineStatus.

Thanks
Jalal

Hi Jalal,

We were performing a bit of support forum maintenance and saw this posting. We wanted to comment on the original request so that others will know this capability currently exists.

The current media engine supports detecting a call’s far end hold state. See the Developer’s Reference for the SIP_ACTIVE_CALL_INFO structure and the GetActiveCallInfo() API procedure.
