Hi,
Media Engine v5.12: Does the ConferenceLine procedure has a limitation that you cannot have multiple simultanous conferences on multiple lines?
We want to conference two lines with each other (ie: line 0 and line 1) while another two lines (ie : line 2 and line 3) are also in another conference session.
I want these conferences be separate from each other. Can this be done with v5.12?
Thanks,
Simplikate Systems

Hi,
We had similar problem previously with Media Engine. You can see following posts.

Hi simplikate,
Jalal is correct. The two posts he pointed out discuses how you can cross wire phone lines to gang up to 4 concurrent callers together in a “conference session”. True, this method may be a bit clunky but it will allow you to accomplish what you want to do.
We have prototyped a version of the media engine that can handle user defined call conferences sessions. It’s a proof on concept build but it is not ready for general release. If you or Jalal want this general conference capability immediately, then we would have to expedite and perform the work under a support contract or similar.
Repost as needed.

Hi,
Indeed cross wiring phone lines solves "Multiple Conference Calls" problem, but if you choose this option to solve your problem you will encounter "Play Delay Bug" which is not fixed yet.

Simplikate Developers,
Update:
The Media engine has been updated to support multi-session conference call groups and a host of other valuable changes. We don’t know if this product update will make your development easier but you are welcome to request an interim product image that you can use for development and testing.

Per suggested by support, I am hereby requesting "an interim product image" that I can use for development and testing. I would like to test the multiple simultanous conferences on multiple lines ConferenceLine procedure which is very very important to us.
Thanks.

Hi Alex,
To make things easier for both of us, we updated the simplikate support FTP account with the latest eval product image. It’s a time bombed DLL image that we can use until the end of June. See the “v5.12.7.22 DLL Only” directory of your support FTP account. Simply replace the files you have with these new ones. Mr. Lindenberger has the login to your support FTP account.
We can update your official product image sometime in the near future.
You will have to rebuild your app against the updated API. Expect a few build errors. There should be nothing too extreme though.
