With the VOIP Media Engine would it be possible to create an application that would allow a call center to listen to the phone conversation and record it at the same time?

Thanks, Justin.

Hi Justin,

Yes. The media engine will allow you to create a VOIP application (like a soft phone) that will allow you to initiate and receive SIP/RTP phone calls.

Full duplex recording of all transmitted and received audio is fully supported. When we say full duplex, what we mean is: If a call is active and recording for the phone line is enabled, all received and transmitted encoded audio for the call will be digitally mixed and either sent to the VOIP application as 20Ms sample blocks of PCM data or written directly to disk using a wave file or raw sample file.

Repost as needed,

Support
