For a starter system I am trying to proxy all sip call traffic thru Centrex Proxy and Media Proxy.
I can get the softphone registered to centrex but I never see registration sent on to my test Asterisk box. Everything in on a open private network, final stages of testing will to move this product out to a public address using it as a session border controller
What am I missing?

Hi mtovarez,
Glad to see that you posted your proxy config files. That's using your head. We will set up a test setup here and look into it. In the meantime, it would be good for you to post a SIP log from the Centrex Sip proxy so we can see what it is doing with the REGISTER messages it receives.

Hi mtovarez,
We configure a Centrex proxy server and a VOIP Media proxy server on one host PC ahead of one of our asterisk boxes here in the lab using the same setup you gave us.
Basically to get the REGISTER SIP messages to route to Asterisk through the Centrex SIP proxy, you need to set your UAs to always use the Centrex SIP proxy and set the domain of the UAs to be the host name of your Asterisk server.
The domain name of the Centrex Proxy should be something other that the domain name used by Asterisk.
When the REGISTER messages get to the Centrex proxy, they are forwarded to the host machine using the domain name assigned to Asterisk. Here is a Centrex Proxy SIP log showing a registration through the Centrex Proxy server that is forwarded to Asterisk. 192.168.1.2 is the UA (extension 200) and 192.168.1.122 is Asterisk:

Note: There will be more Asterisk configuration to do when you want to make calls between the UAs work. Asterisk must be properly configured to send all SIP responses back through the Centrex SIP proxy server. Once you do that you should be OK.
