I have downloaded and installed the Centrex Proxy Server successfully.
The problem I face is that it does not start the application. Is there something I can do???

Hi Marios,
Thanks for posting your question. You will have to be more specific. We do not know what you mean when you say:
“it does not start the application”
If you have successfully installed the Centrex Proxy Server and have a valid license (trial or full license) file, then just start the CentrexProxy.exe application.
If you are getting some sort of start up error, please be specific and report exactly what is occurring.
Repost to this forum with additional information so we may help you.

Hi Marios,
That is strange.
1)
What operating system and service packs do you have installed?
2)
We will verify the download install image of the proxy right now to make sure it installs here.
Its probably something simple.

Marios,
We just tested the trial images. The problem is our fault.
The Centrex Proxy server software trial images will not run past a certain date/time. This is part of the software protection that is integrated into the app. Sorry for the confusion. It’s too bad, but if we do not “time bomb” the software, people steal it.
We are updating the product images now.
When we are done, we will post back to this form and you can request a new trial image using the LanScape License Manager app.
Thanks Marios!

Marios,
The product trial images have been updated. Please request another product trial and we will process your new request immediately. Once again, we regret the confusion.

Hi Marios,
Generally all soft phones or hard IP SIP phones can be configured to use a ‘user name” and a “display name”.
The “user name” is the configuration value that will be used when your phone registers with the SIP proxy. Its value basically specifies the phone number or extension of the SIP phone. See your specific configuration documentation for whatever SIP phone you are using.
Other info:
If you are performing VOIP testing that will traverse NAT network elements (ala NAT firewalls or NAT routers), you should also get a trial of the LanScape VOIP Media Proxy Server and run the media proxy along side the Centrex SIP proxy. That way you will be testing a real world deployment scenario. For more info, see the following URL:
LanScape VOIP Media Proxy™ Server

We have no specific documentation regarding integrating with Cisco Call Manager. The possibilities are many as to what might be possible. What you will have to do is use the supplied LanScape Centrex Proxy server user guide to be come familiar with our product to see what forms of integration are possible with Cisco Call Manager.

No. If you want to use the LanScape VOIP products with other vendor products you will have to do the research or get Cisco customer support to assist you.
If you have a special need, you can also open a support contract with us and we will be happy to assist you further. Let us know what you would like to do.
Keep posting your questions and we will continue to try and help if we can.
Thanks Marios,
