Hi Philippe,
Thank you for posting your questions to the support forum. You have asked a number of questions so we will attempt to answer them one at a time.

I am interesting to developer an voip communication but i want use voip only to intranet/Internet of one consortium company and don't want pay esternal company voip provider. For these i need one server software or is possible Peer to peer voice?
<<< Support
Regarding peer-to-peer VOIP: Don’t do it.
Deploying peer-to-peer VOIP is possible but is not recommended. Because network translation (NAT) is everywhere in modern day networks, your networks will have to be specially configured to allow SIP and RTP protocol traffic to flow. This mostly includes configuring NAT firewalls and routers to “port forward” certain network traffic to specific IP or soft phone destinations. The network management of peer-to-peer VOIP deployments soon becomes a nightmare. Peer-to-peer deployments are not possible if you do not have access to all NAT devices in between call endpoints (IP phones or soft phones).
We recommend deploying a “VOIP Server” that will be the focal point of your VOIP domain. If the “VOIP server” you deploy also resolves session (SIP) and media (RTP) related NAT issues, deploying your VOIP capabilities will be simpler and easier to manage from the network perspective. Also, you will be able to use just about any SIP desktop or softphone you desire.
For example: Focus your VOIP deployment around a scalable SIP and RTP server architecture like the
LanScape Centrex Proxy Server and the VOIP Media Proxy Server.
Deploy 1 Centrex Proxy Server and one VOIP Media Proxy server on a single host machine. Depending on the speed of the host CPU and network connection, you may be able to service up to 1000 to 1500 voip users at the same time. This assumes all call endpoints use a low bit-rate codec such as G729. Nothing more is required.

For conference i need server software?
<<< Support
You do not need special server software to support call conferencing. Unless you have very special conference call requirements, select IP desktop phones and softphones that perform conference call capabilities. Media will be “mixed” and retransmitted to other conference call parties by the SIP phone managing the conference session.

If i need server software do all communication need pass from the server?
<<< Support
Yes. Both session (SIP) and media (RTP) will be proxied at the “server”.

How many band need to voip is need server?
<<< Support
You will have to rephrase this question. We do not know what you are trying to ask. :(

is possible add esternal pc sip phone?
<<< Support
Yes. Absolutely.

If i need server one asterix is ok for all company?
<<< Support
We like Asterisk very much and have many customers using it with our products. It is primarily used as an “inexpensive” PSTN gateway when used with our server products but it can be deployed in other roles as well. Asterisk has many excellent uses but we cannot recommend it over a “true” scalable VOIP domain solution like the LanScape Centrex Proxy Server and the LanScape VOIP Media Proxy Server. You will have to perform your own research to determine if asterisk is right for you.

…and the 'nat' problem more person in one office ask in other office in an other city. How do i do?
<<< Support
When you deploy our server products as stated above, you will have no problems traversing NAT environments. Go to the "Test Drive LanScape VOIP Solutions" to learn how to download trial versions of our products. Getting trial product version will allow you to experiment and see what is available to you.

If i buy 1 line media engine is possible to use into more pc in different place?
<<< Support
Yes. The LanScape VOIP Media Engine is a complete “drop in” SIP and RTP call engine for developing VOIP applications for Microsoft Windows platforms. If you purchase a VOIP Media Engine, you can develop whatever application you require and put it on as many PC as you want. See the VOIP Media Engine product page for specific licensing information.
We have intended to answer your questions as complete as possible. If you need additional information, repost new questions as needed.
Thanks Philippe!
