I develop your software for try to develop my application. I have some question for you.

1 - Your software works with .NET framework 1.1 or on .NET framework 2.0?
2 - Whwn your software will support Out-of-Band DTMF Recognition?
3 - Can I hook a TTS engine at the application developed with your software?

Hi friket

Thanks for posting your questions to this forum. We will try to answer your questions one at a time.

Question 1:
Does your software works with .NET framework 1.1 or on .NET framework 2.0?

We are not into any of the .NET framework stuff here. However, we do have customers that have used the media engine with .NET and managed code assemblies.

Your managed .NET code should be able to interface with native Win32 DLLs. This may involve creating a managed “wrapper” for the media engine DLL. You could also wrap the media engine DLL and API using a COM object wrapper (i.e. and ActiveX wrapper).

There is a lot of information in the newsgroups and on the web regarding calling native Win32 DLLs from .NET managed code. Here are 2 Google search links to get you started:

Google web search:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=calling+DLL+.net

Google newsgroup search:
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&q=calling%20DLL%20.net &ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wg

Also, use Google to investigate the PInvoke capability of .NET.

If you want us to develop a COM ActiveX component that will wrap the whole media engine API, we could do that for you. If you are interested, send an email request to support ‘at’ lanscapecorp.com.

Question 2:
When will your software support Out-of-Band DTMF Recognition?

We are working hard on the upcoming release of the media engine that will include this. There are other posts in this forum that will help to explain where we are at. For example, see this post:

DTMF Detection

The next release of the media engine is coming soon but the actual release date has not been determined. If you want, we can work with you to add a capability to the media engine that will allow you to handle out of band dtmf. We see the value of this functionality and would like to work with you to add it to the product. Send an email to support ‘at’ lanscapecorp.com if you want to pursue this route.

Question 3:
Can I hook a TTS engine at the application developed with your software?

Yes you can - exactly! Your application can use both TTS for voice generation to phone lines and a speech recognition engine monitoring phones line audio for command and control (assumes 8kHz capable speech recognition engine)..

Good questions. Thanks for your post.

Repost as needed.
