From LanScape support;
We received this question from a customer via email. We are placing the Q+A here so that others may benefit from the information.
---------------------------------------------------------
Customer Question:
We are developing a product in .NET which will connect to a special device thats sends a sound as a RTP over UDP. RTCP is *not* used. It is a pure p2p connection (no SIP server is used). There is no authentication or NAT related problems. There is also no need for conference or video calls.
So, the question is, does any of your products support such voice transfer?

Thanks for sending us your question.
You could use our VOIP SDK to do this.
Normally the SDK uses SIP to set up media exchange but there are ways to get around this internally.
We will need to discuss with you the details regarding how your RTP media flow gets established. Once I fully understand that, we can guide you properly.
Questions I have are:
1) How do you currently establish RTP media flow?
2) Is the RTP bidirectional? (in both directions)
3) How many concurrent RTP media streams need to be active at any given time?
4) What RTP codec do you require?
Thanks,
Randal

1) I can send you a Wireshark capture of one call, so you
can see all details. In general, a special XML-based
protocol is used for control purposes.
2) Yes.
3) max. 2 concurrent connections per device (i.e. per
destination IP).
4) PT=8 (G711, A-law, 8 kHz)

Igor,
Sounds good.
Send the Wireshark capture via email. An attachment 10meg or less will get through. I will send you an email address to use.
Will you be using C#?
Are you ready to purchase? We are offering a one time licensing deal for the SDK. See the right hand corner of the LS home page:
