Hello,
I'm having an issue with the Centrex Proxy.
I have one LanScape phone on one end and a third party Java Sip phone on the other end.
When I start a call from the Java phone to the Lanscape phone, the proxy server does not reroute the last
ACK, and sends a BYE message instead, so the call is terminated.
See image 1_issue_sip_bye_sent.jpg, which is the Wireshark log.
If I use two LanScape phones on both ends, the ACK is correctly rerouted, see image
2_ok_sip_ack_rerouted.jpg
And if I use two Java phones, the ACK is not rerouted, but the call is not terminated, which is also a
valid behaviour.
And If the Lanscape phone initiates the call towards the Java phone, the ACK is correctly rerouted and the
call is established.
I have reproduced these four different scenarios with a third party proxy server and the same client
phones and all of them did work. This third party server is the online service sip2sip.info
Any ideas of why is this BYE message being sent?
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards,
Alberto

Hi Alberto,
If you can, send a SIP log from our SIP proxy that shows the scenario 1 call failing. It’s most likely a SIP interoperability issue. I will send you our support email shortly.
What version of the SIP proxy and Media proxy are you using?
I will take a look at the SIP log to see if I can see the issue. The free support we offer is limited in scope. I can only fully investigate the issue if we have paid support in place.
Thanks,
RJ
